we are looking for a suitable Freelancer for an exciting project. Could this be something for you?

In this exciting project, you will develop a new software tool (Config Master) that enables technicians to efficiently parameterize fire alarm systems and intrusion detection systems.
The Config Master offers a more intuitive/simpler configuration compared to the existing systems and enables greater standardization across the customer base, which in turn enables efficient remote working by the central team.


Project start & project end: as of now for app. 6 months
The workload in the project: min. 50%
Project country & location: Grasbrunn, DE
Project language: German and English
Contract type: contract for service
Share of remote work: 90 % (some user interviews and usability tests might require onsite collaboration)


Activities and tasks to be performed in the project:
• User Interface design (visual design and interaction design) for the new software tool “Config Master”
• User research and analysis: User interviews with the different roles in our fire/intrusion detection projects (Interviews must be done in German)
• User journey: Design of the new user journey that outlines the integration of Config Master along the other used tools
• Prototyping and interaction design: Creating prototypes to visualize and test the user interface and interactions of Config Master
• Usability Testing: Conducting usability tests to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement in the design of Config Master
• Visual design: Designing the visual elements of the software tool to create a cohesive and appealing user interface
• Alignment: Alignment of visual and interaction design with existing [...] style guides and recommended patterns



Most important skills:
• Strong experience in user research and analysis
• Strong experience in User Interface design (visual design and interaction design)
• Experience in usability testing


Optional skills:
• Experience in the design of UIs for expert software in the B2B domain
• Experience in the domain of building technology
