For our client we are looking for a DC Network Operations Engineer (f/m/d).

Location: Berlin, 75% remote (3 weeks remote / 1 week onsite), up to 50% onsite in critical situations
Budget: 80,00 EUR net

Role:
The infrastructure product line offers data center services that are provided via a software stack for other product lines within the program. These services are engineered and operated within this product line.

The Network Operation Engineer is member of the operations sub-group and reports towards the Operations lead. The operator is responsible to run and maintain the infrastructure in line with the engineering and operational requirements as they are documented.
The operation is intended to be script based, to simplify maintenance through increased efficiency as well as to standardize the work and reduce human errors. The operator requires to understand the automated procedures and how to use them.

Targets:
- Successful Network operations: The operator has the knowledge to operate the in-scope environment as defined.

- Integration into processes: The Network Operation Engineer follows the designed processes to achieve successful work and collaboration as well as detailed documentation.

Skills (must-have):
- Cisco ACI and Juniper network operation
Adjust / maintain the network environment in line with the documentation by usage of existing scripts following the structured process through the landscape (Dev/Test/QA/Prod)
- Protocols to be supported are BGP, ISIS, OSPF, IPSec, IPAM
- Palo Alto network management and operation Management and configuration of access control lists and their maintenance
- Network management / automation. Automation integration with Ansible.
- Ability to align with software development team using Python.
- Usage of DevOps and system management tools
- Ability to evaluate network and firewall log files for Incident management, also in complex and largescale network environments
- System analysis for Incident Management and to support Problem Management
- Experience to use Jira, Confluence and Miro.
- Fluent English in speech and writing (at least C1)

RHEL, Ubuntu, LDAP, OIDC, OAUTH, PKI Certificates, HashiCorp Vault and Packer, CIS Hardening, NetApp, Ceph, common applications like Apache Webserver, Nginx, git, PostgreSQL; Gitlab (Repo and Pipeline)
