Über mich
I started my career with Jasmin Infotech Pvt. Ltd, India as DSP Engineer in the year 2012. As DSP Engineer the major goal for our team was to optimize the Audio software for memory and MIPS. Hence most of my work involved around optimizing the software code to reduce the number of cycles to run, sometimes even to get down at the assembly level to meet the expectations. As a result of this, I have a solid knowledge in C, Assembly language and MATLAB.
After 3 years of working as DSP Engineer, I decided to try a different industry to see things in different perspective. As my company was software partners with Panasonic automotives, they gave me an opportunity to work with them and I travelled to Germany for the same in 2015.I leaned a lot about developing software at automotive standards like MISRA C guidelines, SPICE process and got hands on experience in developing test benches with Code Coverage Analysis for feature verification. Most of my work here as well is Software design (using Enterprise Architect), software construction and verification. I felt I needed to upgrade myself in the hardware domain in order to have an better understanding of the architectures I was working with, and to be able to take informed decisions about which is optimal to be developed in hardware and software. Hence, I signed up for a Masters course at TU Darmstadt in 2016.
At my university , I wanted to try new domains that can bring an overall development in me (which was my original goal to pursue Masters Course).Hence, I took hands on projects in Digital design. For example, I took hands on projects in HDL. I was asked to design a complete THUMB Instruction based ARM processor in verilog meeting all the design criteria using a standard cell 45nm technology. Since most of my courses at my university were digital design based, I decided to take internship with Texas instruments in Analog Validation for 6 months. At TI I was asked to develop software for an interface that is very similar to i2c, called single wire interface. Though I wanted to explore new domains, I also made sure I am not missing on something I am passionate about. Hence my Master thesis is a mixture of Digital design and Signal processing. In my Master thesis, I have to implement Analog to Digital Converters architectures in FPGA for Analog FPGA interfaces and apply post processing, signal conditioning algorithms to fine tune and smoothen the signal. This strengthens my exposure to signal processing, DSP and hardware development. I am using the Xilinx 7 series Kintex FPGA and I am fully practiced the FPGA development lifecycle
Based on my experience, you can notice that I have experience in embedded software development, exposure to DSP algorithms and signal processing ,and have hands on academic experience in Hardware design in digital domain .I can be a person who can understand well about both software and hardware domain and can bridge the gap between these two worlds.
