Led the €200M implementation of SAP into BP’s Benelux region, part of a wider €1BN, 750-person Global SAP Deployment programme, the company’s largest ever IT&S downstream project.
Successfully integrated global organisational strategy and objectives into Benelux region; delivered large portfolio of BPR and BPO programmes and projects that implemented SAP and subsequently reduced operational costs by 25% through substantial changes to downstream business processes, including outsourcing to a Global Service Centre in Budapest.
Headed a 30-person project team that exceeded performance expectations and delivered the portfolio within defined timeframes, budgets and quality.
Navigated severe capacity and capability limitations of Global Service Centre through leveraging of global partnerships with Accenture and IBM.
Met requirements for >3000 people to be trained on new business processes in three months; developed automated training learning modules, intense support and implementation of a stabilisation phase.

In support of BP Group IT&S Sourcing and the Retail Site Bundle led the €190M gross exposure of M&A divestment activities of the sale of 2 BP owned companies (TSG) and 5 years global outsourcing retail services for +15,000 users, distributed across 7,500 sites, 14 countries and 7 languages.
Consolidating IT Retail site support services into one strategic supplier, leveraging scale across common services, reducing the number of suppliers and handoffs, standardizing service management processes, embedding continuous improvement and providing a base for further cost and value optimization. The benefits case for RST 2.0 confirms a steady state annual opex saving thus resulting 30% run rate over 5 years contract duration.
Headed a 15-person project team that exceeded performance expectations and delivered the divestment and transformation and transition of 14 global countries within defined and desired timeframes, budgets and quality.
Supporting M&A divestment activities for the sale of the Amsterdam liquids storage terminal (BAT)
to Zenith Energy, Warburg Pincus the equity partner has agreed to lead a line-of-equity investment of up to $600 million in Zenith Energy. The Port of Amsterdam will serve as Zenith’s European Hub, terms of the transaction not to be disclosed.

Led the design and delivery of large-scale, global programmes for tier-one multinational clients across sectors, as a key revenue generator for the Deutsche Telecom subsidiary. Held overarching responsibility for strategic vision, design and delivery of client solutions and maintenance of service levels; managed 300 global onshore and offshore resources, with oversight of all project, quality, change control and risk management functions, in addition to nine- and ten-figure P&Ls.
Major contributor to a >10% EBITDA increase resulting from winning strategic new customers across sectors.
Heineken Global IT Sourcing: Handpicked to restore failing relationship with the flagship client, and deliver major strategic initiatives of the global outsourcing programme.
Rescued faltering €40M HeiSAP programme, which involved the transformation of 150 SAP SIDs and 200 non-SAP applications from current Atos Origin datacentres in Eindhoven to a new virtualised environment of Dynamic SAP into datacentres in Frankfurt.
Delivered €80M HeiNET programme, consolidation of a global network; transferred VPN core services and IP services, built international security services and implemented T-Systems remote services in Western, Central and Eastern Europe, Americas and the Caribbean, Asia and Africa, as well as Scottish and Newcastle and new breweries.
Generated >€30M in new business through establishment of a ‘fast revenue generator’ PMO and upselling of SAP and other major programmes.
Shell Global IT Outsourcing: Global programme leader of the €1.2BN deal; replaced underperforming Program Leader to stabilise and deliver one of the company’s largest ever client programmes. Member of the Shell Executive team with joint cross-functional responsibility across Finance, HR and Operations, having sole accountability for transformation programmes.
Headed a 1000-person Shell Global Hosting and Storage Team; fully accountable for the transition of 1000 Shell employees into the T-Systems organisation.
Transformed 280 SAP SIDs, 6000 non-SAP applications from Shell global datacentres in Amsterdam, Kuala Lumpur and Houston to Dynamic SAP virtualised environment in datacentres in Frankfurt and Munich; this generated a 20% operational cost saving to T-Systems.
