Leading a welding shop of a mechanical and a hydraulic press manufacturer. A 28 manned team constituted by a flame cutting group, a press erection group, a welder group and a mechanical engineer is working in my section. My main duties are to arrange the manufacturing workflow of the press parts between machining and welding shop, planning the workflow according to due dates, inspecting the welded parts according to their severity levels with magnetic and ultrasonic methods, consulting the R&D department to improve the welding and construction quality of press bodies regarding the bottleneck points and keeping the welders and the welded processes coherent to the relevant standards, firstly to AWS D14.5.

I have worked as a mechanical maintenance engineer at TOFAŞ, where I was a member of the press maintenance team. There, I was mainly attacking the residual mechanical malfunctions of the presses and line robots; such as hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical or constructional breakdowns. I also have worked on vibration analysis for predictive maintenance to find out the probable malfunction points. A general repair welding consultancy and ultrasonic non-destructive testing of the presses and die bodies were also one of my duties.

In TÜV Rheinland I have worked on welded construction inspections, welder examinations, power plant piping auditions, pressurized and non-pressurized vessels, writing welding procedure specification and weld procedure qualification records.
