• Plan, coordinate and follow-up on the tasks corresponding to the software production preparation area
• Co-ordinate and support the cross functional activities involving product development and the production plants to get most efficient production process
• Support the introduction of new improved products and production methods in a quality assured way, with main focus on software and mechatronic systems
• Support the global production teams on software delivery
• Oversee the development of the verification tests for Volvo bus plants in verifying and validating the electrical systems

• Co-ordinate and support the activities involving functional and software development, and interfaces (functional chains) between the functions and systems
• Report the status of the function/ software implementation and verification at module team and chassis project meetings
• Report the status and issues of the function group’s implementation of functions and verification at management meetings
• Co-ordinate and support the activities involved in the module team – safety electronics & functions, which is currently working within the areas of active and passive safety, parking assistance, side object detection and driver assistance systems
• Work closely with the system managers for the above system areas and the module team director and represent as the spokesperson for the module team at the chassis project meetings
• Support the system teams in the task force meetings in resolving the software and function issues

• Project lead for the concept and design of the Vehicle Configuration And Test Systems (VCATS) and vehicle in the loop test facility
• Support new vehicle programs, vehicle models and model year changes during verification build phases
• For VCATS related issues determine root cause and establish action plans to resolve
