Having started out as a programmer in 1998, I have always had a passion for understanding the big picture and delivering solutions which remain usefull and stable in a changing and developing enironment. I have augmented my professional experience with further training and certification including PMP, ISTQB and Conflict management to ensure that I always had the technical and organisational skills necessary to deliver high quality and stable solutions to my clients.

Over the years my colleagues and managers have often turned to me for support on topics
which were also new to me. They knew that I would do the necessary research and deliver an innovative high quality solution. As a result, I have gathered a wealth of experience in
apparently unrelated areas including software development, deployment processes, server and network infrastructure, database design, virtualisation and cloud architecture.
I was able to put this experience to good use in my role as assistant to the global head of
Software Development for a large financial service company where I was co responsible for developing and implementing a development strategy with a global spend of € 400 Mio.

I am a firm believer in simplicity. A succesfull solution is a simple solution. After years of
working on high impact systems for some of Europe’s largest financial institutions I am fully aware that business requirements can be extremely complex, and this complexity needs to be accomodated, but the solution itself always needs to be kept as simple as possible. My solutions are as simple as possible but not simpler.
