Client: PVH Europe (Amsterdam) and multiple clients across US and Canada like
PUMA, Heaven hill distilleries, Over and Back, etc. Environment: E-commerce
(B2C)
Activities & Techniques:
Onboarding data: Transformed and merged a huge amount of product data.
PIM Data Migration: Migration from the older version of informatics PIM to the
newer version. This project involved - Repository Migration, Database migration,
customized application code migration. Updated the client and web UI-based
customization to adhere to the client's wishes. SQL scripts and stored procedure
updates. Migration from Ecom PIM to central PIM. Data field mapping, review
end-to-end migration plan, preparing data for migration.
Technical Consultancy: Review PIM development according to Business
requirements to determine and rate overall effectiveness and efficiency.
Communicate effectively with Business, PIM developers/testers, and WebSphere
developers/testers to maintain complete and current working knowledge.
Designing solution for new developments. Providing the best possible solutions to
support small projects.
Data / Functional Analysis: Run data and functional analysis to resolve incidents
raised by Businesses and providing quick fixes. Deployment Manager: create
deployment plans with less or no impact on Business. Keep a close eye on the
go-live date of the dependent project.
End to End / UAT testing: Support end-to-end testing (SAP> PIM> WCS).
Review test cases and make additions. PIM training to Business users / UAT
Tester: Training new business users like site merchandiser, SEO team members
etc. on PIM usage. Refining Jira tickets: Writing Jira tickets with perfect
acceptance criteria to be better understood by developers and testers to attain
high-quality development and serve Business.
Data clean-up and reporting: Run data clean-up activities. Create reports to
support the data related issues in the presentable form for Business. Creating and
updating import/export templates: create import mapping templates and update
export templates to serve the support request. Confluence Page: Creating and
updating confluence pages.
Software Development: Java-based development to refactor and create
customization in PIM and around. Python scripts to transform data. version
controlling using SVN and GIT.

Activities & Techniques:
SQL and Python scripting: Sql and python scripts to tranform, merge and
reproting data
Data Migration: The main goal was to Consolidate and normalize the distributed,
inconsistent, multilingual, and multi-channel data at the distributed databases of
various Staples business units across Europe, to implement functionality to
migrate all data consolidated into a new centralized Product Information
Management system (PIM: STEP by Stibo), and to deploy data migration to the
production environments.
Data cleaning and Quality assurance were part of the pre-migration process.
Comparison reports and data coverage reports were part of the post-migration
process. Ensuring the data received is aligned with the Central European data
model in STEP otherwise providing options and additional reports to align the data
to different Business units.
User acceptance Testing: Played an active role during the UAT with the
business and Deployment manager. Mainly involved in providing a logical
explanation about data loss or inconsistency and quick fix for data issue to prevent
delay in go-live plan. Always had a critical eye on end-to-end data flow and
presentation of data on the website.
Comparison Reports: Comparing different databases (MDM, PIM, website
databases, etc.) for mandatory information as preparation for bulk data loads
projects in order to ensure there is no data loss with the deployment of the new
adapter.
Business analysis: Review the various change request and test scenarios/cases
based on the extensive knowledge of the end-to-end data flow. Created field
mapping document for various web platforms. Improved weekly reports to include
the right information for the Users related to data inconsistency and mandatory
information.
A bridge between IT and Business: Provide solution for data inconsistency and
maintenance, to prevent customer loss and save resources from future clean up.
Special projects: Data migration projects to reform the centralized content which is
easy to be maintained by the central content and coding team.
Unit / Functional Testing: Unit and functional testing with small changes in STEP
STIBO system and testing End to end flow from PIM to Website. Type of data:
Coding data, Content data for Web platform and Paper publication, Asset data,
Product Hierarchy, Sales data, etc.
