For an innovative and constantly growing leading company we are looking for further project support for a very collegial team, a freelance:

Data Scientist (m/f/d)

Location: Hessen / remote

Tasks:
• As Data Scientist (m/f/d), you will be responsible for translating improvement ideas into concrete mathematical models.
• You will work with the relevant open-source deep-learning architectures and adapt them to the targeted applications.
• Working closely with Data Engineering, you will prepare complex datasets, understand how to work in a team, and enjoy sharing your knowledge.
• You will prepare results effectively, communicate them comprehensibly to non-specialists, and support the business units and key stakeholders to derive an implementation plan.
• In addition, you will have mastered a systematic approach that allows you to move efficiently from customer requirements to operationally deployed AI models. You will take care of low-maintenance and scalable Python code in collaboration with ML developers.

Skills:
• Master’s degree or PhD in data science, computer science, mathematics, or the natural sciences
• Several years of experience in the application of open-source deep-learning models and in statistics
• Experience in data visualisation, image processing (OpenCV), machine learning, artificial intelligence, and ML ops
• Knowledge of Six Sigma is an advantage
• Expert command of Python and especially Pytorch or TensorFlow
• Strong analytical skills as well as an intrinsic motivation to permanently develop your own skills especially in state-of-the-art AI approaches and related software architectures. Deep-learning research papers do not scare you, but give you inspiration for your next step.
• You are an experienced data scientist and team player. You have already made a significant entrepreneurial contribution through the AI models you have significantly designed in image processing, natural language processing, and reinforcement learning.
