HTML steht f\u00fcr HyperText Markup Language<\/strong> und ist die Sprache, in der Inhalte von Websites strukturiert sind. Des Weiteren bildet HTML auch die Grundlage f\u00fcr die grafische Gestaltung von Internetseiten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Die HTML-Tags unterteilen eine Website in sinnvolle Abschnitte wie \u00dcberschriften, Abs\u00e4tze, Listen und Tabellen und bieten dar\u00fcber hinaus Funktionen wie Hyperlinks. Das Design der Seite wird dann mit Hilfe von CSS-Stylesheets und Bildern festgelegt. HTML hilft also auch dabei, Links und Dokumente besser zu strukturieren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vor allem Personen, die sich zum ersten Mal mit Programmieren auseinandersetzen, ist HTML gut, um die Basics kennenzulernen. Selbst in einigen Schulen lernt man ersten Code im Fach Informatik. Sich diesen Skill anzueignen ist von gro\u00dfem Vorteil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Innerhalb des HTML-Codes<\/a> selbst gibt es auch die M\u00f6glichkeit, das Design (z.B. Farben und Schriften) zu bestimmen, d.h. ohne Stylesheet. Die Verwendung von Stylesheets wird jedoch nicht empfohlen. Der Code sollte sich darauf beschr\u00e4nken, die Struktur einer Website, sowie die Struktur und Bedeutung von Abschnitten zu beschreiben. Das erleichtert die Lesbarkeit eines Webdokuments f\u00fcr Suchmaschinen und die sp\u00e4tere \u00c4nderung des Layouts einer Website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bei der Entwicklung von Websites sind HTML-Kenntnisse von Vorteil. Bei der Pflege von Websites mit einem Content Management System ist dieses Wissen oft nicht unbedingt erforderlich.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

XHTML ist eine Variante, die die W3C-Standards HTML und XML kombiniert.<\/p>\n
