Das Seitenverh\u00e4ltnis wird in der Regel durch eine vereinfachte Angabe von der Breite und der H\u00f6he angegeben (z.B: 4:3 oder 16:9). In diesen F\u00e4llen wird die breite zuerst genannt. Ab und zu wird das Seitenverh\u00e4ltnis in einer Zahl ausgedr\u00fcckt. Hierbei wird die Breite durch die H\u00f6he dividiert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Im Verh\u00e4ltnis von 1:1 ist das Format exakt quadratisch. Wenn die H\u00f6he gr\u00f6\u00dfer als die Breite ist, dann spricht man von einem Hochformat. Ist das Format breiter als die H\u00f6he, dann spricht man von Landscape.
