Team Lead & Senior Software Engineer at Deutscher Apotheker Verlag GmbH, leading the development of a cloud-based e-learning examination platform for pharmacists, which is still in active use today. Assembled and led a development team, delivering the first version one month ahead of schedule, allowing for extensive testing and a smooth, incident-free rollout. Designed and implemented the AWS cloud infrastructure, utilizing Fargate, Load Balancers, RDS, ElastiCache (Redis), and Docker containers to ensure scalability and high availability. Automated deployments with AWS CodeBuild and CodePipeline, enabling continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD).
Established an agile collaboration model with the client, enabling iterative feedback and adaptability without disrupting the roadmap. Introduced Extreme Programming (XP) practices, including test-driven development (TDD) and trunk-based development, significantly improving feature throughput and reducing bug rates. Adopted Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), streamlining testing for product owners and reducing manual testing efforts.
