↣ Co-developed a new Kubernetes private cloud with a team of 9 DevOps
Engineers, supporting the €300M revenue shop based on ~20 self-
contained Java-based systems.
↣ Initiated and led the migration to a self-hosted Kubernetes environment
on Hetzner, overseeing the deployment of 100+ hardware nodes (3200
cores, 6TB RAM) for more than 10 different environments. Conducted
automated performance profiling, achieving management buy-in for the
hosting strategy.
↣ Spearheaded efforts that reduced p95 latency for the shop from
~1500ms to 278ms.
↣ Directed the migration from an On-Premise Galera Cluster to an in-
cluster Percona XtraDB Clusters. Implemented a comprehensive lifecycle
framework and backup structure and the underlying database
infrastructure.
↣ Held primary responsibility for all NGINX and Ingress-related operations.

As the Lead DevOps Engineer for sofort-impfen.de, I was responsible for
the operation, automation, protection, continuous monitoring and scaling of the high-available infrastructure I have designed and set up for our
platform written in Go (-Hyperlink entfernt-). Our teams effort
provided more than 1.2 million (with 3 million registrations) people in
Germany with a COVID-19 vaccination in their close vicinity. This high-
traffic project (HA Sentinel Redis peaking over 2.5Gbit/s, egress HTTPS
850Mbit/s) was ended after 4 months with the general availability of the
COVID-19 vaccines.
