I always considered a given programming language as just a tool to translate business requirements, ideas into a form computer can execute efficiently, meanwhile pay high attention to principals as clean coding, SOLID, aspect-oriented programming, test/behavior driven development, code review, continuous integration and long-term support.
I like to work in team / for a company where good ideas, best practices, less code are always welcome, leaders take the time to understand it, consider their risks and make responsible decision upon it.
