TätigkeitsbeschreibungI was hired by ExxonMobil as a full-time contractor (freelancer) to support the AiOps team from data perspective. I was developing and maintaining a legacy enrichment DWH (MS SQL Server, MS SSIS) to provide meaningful CMDB data to AiOps and ticketing tools (Moogsoft, ServiceNow). At the same time I was also supporting business leaders on a top priority side project (working together with WWT 3rd party consultant) and built Tableau dashboards to help the decision making process. Currently I’m developing a new monitoring data pipeline in Apache Nifi and Kafka, S3, SQS in AWS based Cloudera data platform to feed AiOps tools with both IT monitoring and enrichment data.

TätigkeitsbeschreibungDuring the spin off from GE I took part in a DWH migration from Oracle to Greenplum environment. We made analysis about the impacts on data and dependencies on business and also communicated towards our internal customers. In the new company (INNIO) I got involved in new projects as internal consultant and I was working on billing control and sales channel partner scorecard related reports as a BI developer (SQL & Tableau).

TätigkeitsbeschreibungI was part of GE Digital business line it is a horizontal HUB in Europe which serves other GE Business Units within the company such as Healthcare, Power, etc. I was assigned to a Distributed Power related project where I was responsible for maintenance and development activities related to several reports in Oracle environment. I analyzed data and designed and developed complete E2E solutions such as Informatica ETL jobs, PL/SQL procedures and Tableau reports. At the same time I was supporting the existing legacy DWH system to satisfy our customer’s daily business needs.

TätigkeitsbeschreibungI worked on a BI transformation project, the team was set up and dedicated to this project over a year before I moved there. ETL design, developing, testing and operation were parts of my job. We implemented a new reporting layer mostly in Oracle environment within a release based delivery structure. Our client had got millions of customers and a complex business environment therefore we were in everyday contact to understand/implement their needs.

TätigkeitsbeschreibungI did my best to design, develop, test and maintain a couple of interface test automats. The project goal in brief was to reduce the expended testing time, provide parametrized tests on a regression purpose, develop automated reporting and integrate it into an enterprise trouble ticket system to deliver a compact customized solution. I have documented the whole development and created user and developer manuals. Later that year this project was chosen for the subject of my thesis.

TätigkeitsbeschreibungI was a member of a project based delivery account in the telco industry.As an application tester among others it was my responsibility to create test plans and prove that the applications meet the requirements and standards before the customer made the first touch. During my work I have experienced different types of IT development methodologies such as waterfall and agile. Since then I’m a trained scrum team member and an ISTQB certified tester.I spent approximately a year onsite at our customer’s HQ to support a legacy webshop replacement in an international environment.
