Implementation
• Development
o Development of the frontend using JavaScript, HTML, CSS and checked into an
SVN in Eclipse (No existing JS libraries were allowed to be used).
o Create and interface library using only JavaScript & jQuery to consume the SAP
Web Services from BW into JavaScript
o Develop dynamic tables based on the retrieved data from the SAP Web Service
(Columns and rows are built dynamically based on the selected attributes)
o Development of a custom translation functionality as part of master data
validation process (Master data code into user meaningful names, characters
and colors)
o Development of a function to Implement and export to excel format
• Deployment (SAP BW Portal)
o The release was carried out using self-programmed scripts and by uploading to
the SAP BW portal using Content Administration

• Authorizations
o Authentications using SSO were used in exactly the same way as the SAP role
model to control user-specific access.
