Monitor the Pre-Heating and Post Heating activities for the Alloy Steel welding &
coordinate the Positive Materials Identification of the materials, weld metal, and base metals.
• Review and execute Stress Analysis of weld metals, welding, radiography film, and final
acceptance of the pipe.
• Coordinate with construction, testing group, and QC department to prepare pressure tests and
witness both Hydro and Pneumatic tests.
• Perform routine surveillance, inspection, monitoring, auditing & assurance of Contractor’s
site activities (Fabrication and Welding, NDT, Coating and Painting) in accordance with the
Projects and Contractors, specifications, ITP, and Quality Plans.
• Check Storage of filler materials, equipment to be used, weld joint preparations, etc.
• And witness welders and welding operator qualification tests scrutinize WPS, PQR & WQT.
• To assist the Quality Manager/Director in the day-to-day running of project construction and
in relation to quality issues.

Responsibilities:

• Supervision of Piping Fabrication, Welding, Mechanical and Painting jobs (Construction & Maintenance) in line with Project requirements.
• Review and comment upon Contractors daily inspection records for activities covered and investigate any anomalies / queries.
• Verify and ensure that all field welds are free from visual defects as per the project specifications.
• The examination includes material identification, welding consumables, joint preparation, fit-up, heat treatment, welding variables, parameter and techniques,
• Check and document the welding heat input periodically, check the condition of the consumables and record their batch Nos. & NDT clearance of loop files and TIE IN joints.
• Select best NDT method for final appearances of finish welds, PWHT, and hardness test, Check and review it.
