Rieter is the world's leading supplier of systems for short-staple fiber spinning. Based in Winterthur (Switzerland), the company develops and manufactures machinery, systems and components used to convert natural and manmade fibers and their blends into yarns. With 16 manufacturing locations in ten countries, the company employs a global workforce of some 5 011.

• Lead a team of three interim managers and business analyst and in cooperation with the Rieter organisation performing a spend-analysis of a total addressable spend amounting to CHF 102m.

• Performed a category segmentation of the addressable spend and have successfully executed a total of 20 RFQ defining and further and have identified further saving potential through back source of already localized parts amounting CHF 4.2m.

• In total 22 fully documented projects yielding a total saving of CHF 10.2m now launched and now being taken over by the Rieter organization for final implementation.

• Project – and savings trackers necessary for a successful monitoring and report of the implementation and savings archived.

• Solid logistic set up for supply of goods from China to to the locations in Europe including concept for consignment stock and vendor managed inventory solutions. Thus, reducing lead-time and networking capital.

•Additional saving achieved through improved supplier agreements leveraging added volume shifted to the Chinese suppliers.
