a. Taking care of the sales and service partners/offices;
b. Acquisition of new sales representatives, sales and service partners including con-tracts and establish new branches;
c. Organisation of marketing and sales in the sales area;
d. Technical advice to retailers and service providers and their support in advertising and sales negotiations;
e. Maintenance of contacts with major customers;
f. Representation of the company at workshops, association meetings and trade shows
g. Correction of English versions of manuals/operating instructions, delivery notes, communications to customers, price lists, sales documents, contracts and websites and translations of such into German (English/German);
h. Development of calculation models for the rental of equipment;
i. Calculation and preparation of all offers to all partners/customers in the sales area;
j. Direct sales activities concerning customers in regions without distributor (acquisition, initial contact, advice, quotations, order confirmations);
k. Project management (biggest project: Crossrail, London, Oxford Street – Concrete mixing plant for BMTI/Mobil Baustoffe);
l. Conducting tours through the SIMEM factory and presentation of plants installed at customers/building sites;
m. Customer after sales support;
n. Constitution of object reports and communications (website news);
o. Substitution of regional sales managers in other regions (vacation/illness)

Degree – Graduated Civil Engineer (FH) Fachhochschule Hildesheim-Holzminden 1977, Concrete Engineer VDB, Concrete Technologist since 1983.
Professional experience / Project management experience – For nearly twenty years I was responsible for all technical and commercial matters especially concerning the ready mix and precast departments of the MANZKE-group. This included project management, the analysis of complex business situations, development of concepts and ideas to improve per-formance, and financial and operational matters.
Experience in conducting studies – My responsibilities for all companies I’ve been working for included the conduction of EVA, RR, NPV studies.
Contractual understanding – Due to the leading positions I have enjoyed during my profes-sional life, I always created and negotiated contracts in favor of the companies I represented, but at the same time within the parameters of the respective laws.
Good knowledge of investment marketing pricing and cost awareness – These skills always have been a must, especially while I worked for Betonpumpe Ilmenau, MANZKE and Pyratec.
Deep knowledge of processing of raw materials and concrete/slurry production – I in-tensely experienced technical systems for the production of raw materials and the processing of raw materials (aggregates, concrete, recycling materials).
Deep knowledge of construction processes and applications for RMX/precast concrete products and services – I have this knowledge (studies, professional activities as a Site Manager/Managing Director/Director/Sales Manager of companies in the fields of rental of concrete pumps, production of building materials, concrete technology/manufacturing of spe-cialized machines, concrete mixing plants.
Marketing and sales experience – During my professional life I gathered a lot of experienc-es (m+s organization, m+s strategies, cooperation with distributors, direct sales to end-users).
Demonstrated experience in leadership and project management, problem solving and creativity, strategic thinking and decisiveness – I repeatedly proved that I possess the full range of these qualities, especially when I worked for Betonpumpe Ilmenau, MANZKE, Pyra-tec and FML Concretec. Experience in leadership I gained from all positions I covered during my career. Project management was part of my activities when I worked for MANZKE, FML Concretec and SIMEM. My creativity helped me to solve (or avoid) an uncounted number of problems but more importantly, whatever came along, I regarded problems not as such but as challenges to me mastered. Strategic thinking and decisiveness undoubtedly are skills I have.
Fluency in English – I have an excellent knowledge of English (it is an advantage that my wife is English). Since 2006 I regularly communicated in English, both verbally and in writing. I have created and negotiated different kinds of contracts, held speeches and training sessions, conducted numerous analyses and reports, and completed a large number of translations. These include presentations, websites, brochures, offer texts, technical data sheets and man-uals for Pyratec, FML Concretec and SIMEM.
Other languages – I possess a working knowledge of French, some rudimentary skills in Romanian, and have attended a basic language course in Russian. Whilst these skills admit-tedly need to be enhanced, this should not be a problem as I am highly interested in foreign languages and, as a very good base for Roman languages, I had 7 years of Latin at school.
Entrepreneurial thinking and acting – My father previously ran a middle-sized construction company, which is why, starting from early childhood, I’ve been “infected” by the “business virus”. Whatever I do in my professional life, my thinking and my actions are always based on how I would conduct myself in my own business.
Social competence – Having previously acted as a managing director, technical director and sales director, often with the responsibility for a larger number of personnel, I would have been unable to lead and motivate my teams had I not possessed the required social compe-tence.
Organizational skills and self-management – Time is precious, especially when the range of duties is wide. Travelling, meetings and negotiations occupy a big part of the working day. Without a good self-management it is impossible to cope with the amount of work, and wit-hout the respective skills it is not possible to organize the co-operation within a company. It can be assumed I have these abilities.
Computer literate – Highly computer literate with very good knowledge of Microsoft applica-tions (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher)
Multicultural experience and understanding – Being married to an English woman and previously married to a Romanian, as well as having business experiences gained from activi-ties in Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republik, Denmark, France, Hungary, Ireland, Midd-le East, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Switzerland, Sweden, UK, and the US I am confident that I have the necessary understanding for other cultures and sufficient experience in dealing with multiculturism.
Willingness to travel worldwide – Worldwide travelling is no problem for me.
Relocation – Actually I’m located in Lueneburg, North Germany. As my wife originally is from West Yorkshire, on middle term view we might want to move to the UK.
