For our customer in the industrial sector, we are looking for a Data Migration Lead (m/f/d)

Aufgaben


• Data Migration Lead to complement the internal team and assume a key role in one of our country rollouts to a key market.
• pivotal role of the Data Migration Lead in steering end-to-end data migration projects to successful completion while coordinating across multiple teams.
• acting as a central coordinator across multiple teams including the product, backend, development, and QA team, facilitating collaboration and ensuring alignment of efforts.
• involvement in assessing existing data sources, designing migration strategies, executing data migration tasks, and ensuring the integrity and completeness of migrated data.
• leadership and management of data migration projects from inception to delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
• advising in the data schema validation across systems, verifying that the data conforms to the predefined data model, ensuring consistency in structure and format.
• oversight of data cleansing activities, detecting and identifying anomalies, inconsistencies, or inaccuracies within the dataset, such as missing values, duplicates, or incorrect formatting.
• close collaboration with cross-functional teams including product, backend, development, and data engineering to drive the migration process.
• facilitation of regular status checks, providing guidance on refining requirements and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
• acting as a bridge between team-internal and external stakeholders, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
• assumption of technical ownership for data migration pipelines, driving continuous improvement and optimization.
• crafting of comprehensive project plans, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions during migration activities.
• upholding of our customers strategic objectives by delivering robust data migration solutions aligned with organizational goals.


Qualifikationen


• profound knowledge around technologies that support data transformations, including Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) platforms, data integration frameworks, scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL), and specialized libraries (e.g., Apache Spark, Pandas).
• Holding SAP Cloud Certifications.
• deep understanding of PaaS and SaaS concepts, benefits, and challenges.
• knowledge of architecture methodologies including TOGAF.
• proactive self-starter who initiates and prioritizes tasks independently while delivering results to stakeholders.
• analytical problem-solver who demonstrates strong analytical skills, self-direction, and collaborates effectively within teams through open communication.

• proven experience in managing data migration projects, coupled with a strong understanding of data management principles and best practices.
• proficiency in agile methodologies and project management tools, demonstrated by a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• excellent communication skills in both English and German, and interpersonal skills, evidenced by the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
• strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach, shown in addressing challenges encountered during migration efforts.
• capability to design, review, and implement solution documentation along the project in line with the customers strategy.
• strong understanding of agile methodologies and their application in delivering robust solutions.
