Project Description
The EDP team is building an internal platform for the customers software product developers to accelerate the
development and delivery of software products to tackle the massive challenges facing the energy sector. The
EDP Platform is a service oriented, cloud-native platform that is being built to provide application teams with
self-service capabilities to develop, run and operate their software products. EDP Platform provides services for
application infrastructure, data, service lifecycle management, application build and delivery as well as services
to operate their software products. The EDP Platform is deployed as a hybrid cloud, encompassing both private
cloud and select public clouds.

Position Description
The Public Cloud team within the EDP project organization is responsible for developing a platform that runs the
workloads of customers and the other project teams. We started with Google Cloud, now the next step is
adding support for Microsoft Azure. Supported by the architect of the team the product owner will create an
initial backlog. This will be the starting point once Azure engineers join the team.
The Product Owner will act in this role, according to the Scrum guide, for the Azure team in the Product Line
Public Cloud. In addition he will contribute to shape the overall product vision and scope it.
The Product Owner will actively liaise with the Product Management Lead on program level.
This role reports to the head of the Public Cloud team.

Targets in that Position
• Act as Product Owner according to the Scrum Guide for the Azure team of PL Public Cloud
• Gather platform tenant (client) requirements
• Contribute to shaping and scoping the overall platform vision

Profile Requirements
The individual must be a senior PO and product manager, experienced in product management of Azure-based
managed infrastructure platforms (PaaS). Based on a deep understanding of needed services and infrastructure
for development and operation of cloud-native applications, the individual must be able to scope the platform
vision down to user story level. The individual should be able to provide advice on platform product management and scoping of platform visions to less experienced colleagues in a product management role.

Must-have competencies / skills (must have unless otherwise noted)
• Proven experience in product management of cloud-based managed infrastructure platforms
• Proven experience in working as a Scrum Product Owner
• Proven experience in scoping a high-level product vision down to user story level
• Deep understanding of the Azure Services, including AKS, security and networking
• Deep understanding of functional and non-functional requirements for infrastructure platforms in a PaaS model
• Deep understanding of services and infrastructure needed for development and operation of cloudnative applications
• Fluent English in speech and writing (at least on C1 level)

Preferred competencies / skills (should have unless otherwise noted)
• Ability to mentor less senior colleagues in a product management role
• Product Management / PO related certification
• Azure certification on expert level
• Experience as Azure architect
