You, as a Senior Data Governance Manager (m/f/d), will focus on the pillar “data as an asset to innovation” and design and roll-out data governance & management capabilities across multiple digital technologies, platforms, and business units that support the implementation of data strategy. In this role, you will contribute to the growth of the organization’s capabilities, skills, structures, and processes to manage data assets systematically along its life cycle.

You will advise the global Data Governance & Transformation team. In this function, you will be in close collaboration with global team and our key stakeholders on the central level such as e.g. Digital Strategy, Data Protection, Information Security, Enterprise Architecture, as well as at the business units level across the Europe. Furthermore, you will be supporting multiple business units of the Group along their data governance and data strategy journey.

• Develop and support the implementation of a data governance organization and corresponding processes e.g., for decision-making and data-issue escalation.
• Develop concepts, definitions, operationalization and processes for data governance across the group.
• Develop and scale end-to-end data governance for and across the main digital and data programs group-wide
• Co-manage constantly growing Data Governance bodies and coordinate dedicated task forces and working groups with business units.
• Further develop the central Data Governance Framework, including definition, formalization and roll-out of roles and corresponding responsibilities.
• Advise for group-wide data strategy implementation and operationalization.
• Actively guide independent business units to build their own data governance organizations, roadmaps and orchestrating the operationalization of business segment specific data strategies.
• Consult regarding upskilling and knowledge sharing on data governance, management terms and concepts across the group.
• Lead the definition, alignment, and operationalization of sub-strategies for the data management & governance function.
• Maintain working knowledge of compliance requirements towards data and its management processes.
• Collect industry-wide trends on how data is leveraged for competitive advantage and identify data-driven innovation opportunities.
• Contribute to the definition of the Digital, Data and Technology learning agendas and support the development of relevant data strategy content for training and communication purposes.

Skills: Proven experience and track of records, people skills and open-minded and collaborative mindset as well as basic understating of large corporation working environment are highly relevant for this role.

Qualifications
• Bachelor / Master's degree in Economics, Digital Business, Business Administration, Computer Science, Governmental Regulations, Information Management or equivalent profession.
• Several years of experience in Data Governance and Management functions.
• Several years of extensive working experience in international management of large-scale data enablement and transformation projects in a regulated and fast changing industry.
• Excellent understanding of the data-management, -governance, -strategy & -architecture disciplines, as well as its combinations.
• Proven track record in operationalization of data-driven or digital strategies, including communication, culture change and performance measurement and system design.
• Good understanding of digital services and platforms and their impact on data opportunities and risks, as well as relevant trends.
• Strong consulting, facilitation and communication skills in both business and technology, including the ability to simplify complex data concepts and distill them into core insights, ideas and recommendations towards management levels and across different cultures and countries.
• Ability to understand and link legal obligations into organizational and technical implications and vice versa.
