Position Description
The Service team within the EDP program organization is responsible for developing hybrid cloud platform services, such as a private cloud Kubernetes Service, a Resource Management Service, a Service Lifecycle Management Service, and an Identity and Access Management Service. We are looking for a QA Engineer to join the team and take responsibility over all internal QA-related activities. This includes EDP test strategy implementation, test case definition and management, test execution, test automation, and test documentation. The QA Engineer will actively align his/her activities with other QA engineers of the Service team as well as program level e2e QA engineers. This role reports to the Product line lead of the Service team and the EDP QA manager.

Targets in that Position
- Design, manually execute and automate tests to validate the quality of the EDP components
- Participate in automated CI/CD pipeline development by providing relevant test suites for the components
- Release test planning and regression test runs analysis
- Help developers identifying issues to be fixed before release
- QA approve readiness of EDP components for a release
- Provide comprehensive QA reports to QA lead and product owner

Profile Requirements
The individual must be a self-dependent QA Engineer on senior level, with the proven ability to structure and set up testing from scratch. Active liaising with project stakeholders and team members from own and other teams is essential.

Must-have competencies / skills
- Deep understanding of different types (functional, regression, security, availability, etc) and levels
(component, integration, e2e) of testing
- Proven experience in setting up and structuring test activities
- Proven experience with Kubernetes
- Proven experience of REST API testing
- Proven experience in test automation with pytest
- Experience of testing Infrastructure in an automated way

Preferred competencies
- Experience of testing PaaS
- Good understanding of networks
- Experience with automated Infrastructure testing
- Experience with TestRail
- Experience with Golang
- Experience in leading a QA team
