Projektbeschreibung
Für unseren Kunden in Berlin suchen wir im Rahmen eines langfristigen Greenfield Projektes erfahrene Unterstützung als Secrets Manager Engineer (m/w/d) Hashicorp Vault. Die Tätigkeit erfolgt Remote und in der Regel eine Woche für 3-4 Tage pro Monat vor Ort in Berlin oder ggfs auch. Frankfurt oder München. Je nach Projektphase wird eine Bereitschaft vor Ort von bis zu 50% vorausgesetzt
The individual must be at a mid-level in development, operations, and engineering with proven skills and
experience, as stated below. The ideal candidate for the Vault DevOps Engineer position is a dynamic and
proactive individual with a strong foundation in DevOps principles and a keen interest in evolving into an
architecting engineer role. They must exhibit a strong willingness to learn, adapt, and collaborate closely with
IAM architects and other technical teams. The candidate should possess an analytical mindset to understand
complex systems and a proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation. A commitment to continuous
professional development, especially in areas of cloud services, secrets management, and security
architectures, is essential.
Must Have Anforderungen:
- Experience in using public clouds (preferably GCP, Azure)
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and container deployment
- Experience with CI/CD, helm charts/terraform, GitOps, and general automation of setup and
configuration of tooling
- Experience with configuring Hashicorp Vault (Enterprise) and its use as a Secrets Manager
- Soft skills (role must be communicating a lot with other teams)
- Fluent English in speech and writing (min. C1)
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience with Vault Secret Operator (VSO)
- Experience with the broader Vault architecture and its best-practices
- Within Hashicorp Vault: Experience with service account generation, namespaces, secret engines, auth backends, entities, AppRole
- Basic knowledge of Public key infrastructure (PKI)
- Knowledge about Hardware Security Module (HSM), needs to be integrated with infrastructure level
- Knowledge about IAM solutions based on OpenID Connect (OIDC), such as Keycloak, for auth backends
- Fluent in German
- Working with Scrum and general experience in agile frameworks
Ort: Remote und Berlin, Frankfurt oder München ca. 3-4 Tage am Stück pro Monat sowie Bereitschaft bis 50% onsite je nach Projektphase
