Integration Engineer Role Overview:
In the context of the company’s IT evolution, we actively seek an Freelancer, experienced in Integration Layer Development. This individual will join the “Market” Data Product team (or potentially another data product team). For the Data transformation, enrichment, filtering and delivery to data lakes.

The mission encompasses the following key tasks:
Design and Implementation:
• Create the physical model of a coherent data structure.
• Analyze, design, develop, and test a transversal integration layer.
• Ensure alignment between business/technical architecture and clients’ functional/non-functional needs.
Best Practices and Collaboration:
• Bring concrete experience in integration layer concepts.
• Actively participate in planning integration project phases, collaborating closely with other IT teams, external partners, and business stakeholders.
• Contribute to the maturity development of integration engineers under the guidance of the competency leader.
Solution Performance and Trust:
• Guarantee performance and trust in the solution by participating in the setup and continuous monitoring of a build and testing platform.
• Leverage technical expertise and infrastructure knowledge related to tools used by the Integration Hub (queue manager, distributed cache, audit, and monitoring).
Documentation and Support:
• Contribute to the setup of an efficient and dynamic documentation solution.
• Provide second and third-line support for production.
Requirements:
Technical Expertise:
• Theoretical knowledge and practical experience with distributed architecture patterns (synchronous & asynchronous).
• Familiarity with distributed cache patterns.
• Practical usage of Messaging and/or Event Streaming solutions.
• Automated unit testing and integration testing.
• Continuous integration development.
• Proficiency in .Net/Microsoft platform (minimum 3 years).
• Experience with integration frameworks, scheduler frameworks, and audit/trace frameworks.
• Efficient monitoring tools experience (details to be provided).
Additional Technical Skills:
• Web Services (REST, SOAP), XML, Flat Files, GraphQL, Messaging-/Streaming-based communication.
• Capabilities to assist in the administration of tools (mixed environment: Windows and Unix).
• Language Requirement:
• Supplier and procurement documentation, as well as meetings with external parties, will be conducted in English. Knowledge of this language is mandatory.

- Start and Duration: ASAP – 12 Months extension possible
- Volume: Approx. 100% (5 days/w)
- Work Location: 60% remote, Brussels
