Für unser Kunden aus dem Energiesektor suchen wir einen erfahrenen Firewall und Netzwerk Engineer (m/w/d) Palo Alto, Watchguard oder Clavister. Die Tätigkeit erfolgt Remote und vor Ort in Essen (ca. 40%)

Aufgaben:
Our Client is looking for a firewall administrator who can manage, configure, and monitor their firewall systems. You will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our network, as well as troubleshooting any issues that may arise. You will also work closely with IT staff to implement and maintain security policies and best practices.

- Install, update, and maintain firewall software and hardware
- Monitor firewall logs and performance metrics
- Analyze and respond to security alerts and incidents
- Perform regular audits and tests to ensure compliance with security standards
- Document firewall configurations and procedures
- Provide technical support and guidance to IT staff and users

Qualification:

Subcontractors with longtime technical experience and expert knowledge in the area of OT network who are able to process complex tasks in all phases independently.

- Proficient in firewall technologies and protocols, such as Clavister, Watchguard or Palo Alto
- Knowledge of network security principles and best practices
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex firewall issues
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Certifications in firewall administration or security are a plus
- Completed technical vocational education and further education
- Experience / Professional qualification
- Relevant professional experience without education for at least five years or similar
- Technical knowledge in the requested network environment
