We are currently looking for a Storage Engineer NetApp (m/w/d) for our client in the energy sector.

Position:
The storage engineer is member of the group of compute and storage engineers within the infrastructure subproduct line (covering network, compute, storage, and backup). The engineers of the infrastructure sub-product line build the compute and storage environment as designed by the lead architect and core infra-architect. Within the product line, engineering will be continuously automated. The goal is to establish a fully automated environment where all steps after physical installation will be automated.

Profile Requirements
The individual must have at least 5 recent years working as NetApp systems engineer or administrator. Knowing
the entire life cycle of installation, operation, patching, backup, recovery and de-commissioning.
The individual should be able to clearly communicate with peers and architects about the ideas, the designs,
and document in a professional readable manner including diagrams.
Problem analysis and resolution competencies covering the dependencies to layers above and below the
operating system.
Base knowledge about network and routing enabling communication with the network team.

Must-Have-Skills:
NetApp storage technologies
o Experience on SAN/NAS storage management
o Tuning, capacity planning, performance analysis and troubleshooting
o Experience in handling upgrades, also firmware upgrades
o Scaling and migration of storage arrays
o Backup (local, remote, off-site) and disaster recovery experience
Storage technologies
o File storage (NFS, CFS, SMB)
o Block storage (iSCSI)
o Object storage (S3)
o Experience with hot & cold storage
Cluster / Working knowledge
o Working with Linux and Windows systems
o Large-scale and distributed cluster knowledge
o Familiar with basic compute and networking
Experience in Jira, Confluence and/or Miro

Nice to have skills:
NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer
Ceph or other storage technologies, RHEL, LDAP, OIDC, OAUTH, PKI Certificates, HashiCorp Vault and Packer, CIS
Hardening, common applications like Apache Webserver, Nginx, git, PostgreSQL; Gitlab (Repo and Pipeline)
