Electromagnetic Compatibility Engineer - Remote - 12 Months

Job Title: EMC Engineer
Location: Mannheim/Remote
Contract Length: 12 Months (potential extensions)

Job Responsibilities:
- Review technical scope documents for vehicle releases to predict changes in EMC behavior and develop the corresponding authorization and testing strategies.
- Set EMC limits for all relevant components, both physical and non-physical, ensuring they meet compliance requirements.
- Use knowledge of product infrastructure and cross-industry experience to benchmark EMC allocations.
- Change Impact Analysis: Create documents that analyze the impact of changes to support vehicle release authorization.
- Validate Compliance: Support test execution and collaborate with test teams and institutes to ensure physical measurements meet EMC requirements.
- Forecast and Optimize: Forecast compliance with requirements, assist building block owners and design teams in meeting EMC limits, optimize cost and weight, and manage risks and opportunities.
- Conduct Peer Reviews: Evaluate the accuracy and quality of EMC limit assignments, forecasts, and measurements from team members, providing constructive feedback and challenging assumptions.

Qualifications:
- Specialized Expertise: Deep knowledge in at least one area of power electronics, electrical drives, or a similar discipline.
- Experience: Extensive experience in EMC design impact, testing, and authorization in relevant industries such as railways, automotive, aerospace, or marine.
- Industry Insight: Understanding of manufacturing and testing costs and capabilities.
