* High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications like word and spreadsheet, presentation and database software, e-mail and internet tools
* Good skills in formatting and graph production coupled with interest in learning new skills
* Good organisation, time management and interpersonal skills as well as attention to detail
* A-levels, two-year secretarial diploma or equivalent
* Languages: fluent English both written and spoken, German or another major language is advantageous
* Handling routine office tasks such as mails, calls, internal and external requests with little supervision
* Preparing and managing contracts for technical advisers, academics and other visitors
* Maintaining business area's databases of information and contact details
* Participating in projects that may be implemented in the business area, drawing on knowledge of the requirements of the unit
* Dealing with all logistical aspects of management and staff meetings and events, both internal and external
