Leasing, Loan and Factoring Platform
- Develop backend services and React front ends for a multi-tenant leasing, loan and factoring platform: credit decisioning, contract lifecycle, factoring and accounting.
- Implement business processes in BPMN and DMN on Camunda, including credit decisioning; extend the Kafka-driven contract lifecycle to automate steps and support new use cases, such as the transaction templates for a new end client.
- Integrate external systems over IBM MQ, REST, SOAP, SFTP and webhooks: credit bureaus, affordability checks, e-signature, document output, partner and ERP exports.
- Work across three generations of the platform: Java EE on Java 8 with JSF and React, Java EE on Java 11 on OpenShift, and Quarkus on Java 25 on OpenShift; extend and migrate backend functionality from the older generations to the newer ones.
- Diagnose and fix performance problems in production endpoints; for example, replaced per-contract REST calls with one set-based query, taking a portfolio refresh for 1,000+ contracts from 1,193 s to 8 s.
- Work on DevOps and observability: OpenShift service configuration, Jenkins jobs, third-level support with root-cause analysis and fixes for bugs and incidents; built an OpenTelemetry proof of concept to shorten support resolution, now being adopted.
- Write architecture documents, decision records (ADRs) and proofs of concept that the team uses to choose technologies.
