Python Developer – Automation, Web Scraping & Telegram Bots

I am a freelance Python developer based in Lviv, Ukraine, with around six years of writing the kind of software that quietly removes manual work: scrapers and data pipelines, REST API integrations between systems that were never meant to talk to each other, and Telegram bots with payments and an admin panel behind them. I also do backend work in FastAPI and Django on PostgreSQL, and WordPress/PHP maintenance when a site needs fixing rather than rebuilding. I work remotely and in writing, and I would rather tell you up front what I cannot do than have us find out together in week three.

What I usually get hired for

1. Web scraping and data collection. Product catalogues, listings, registries, marketplaces — collected on a schedule and delivered as Excel, Google Sheets, a database or an API endpoint. Includes the unglamorous parts: retries, proxy rotation where it is legally fine, change detection, and an alert when a source silently changes its layout.

2. Automation of routine processes. Reports that someone assembles by hand every Monday, files that get renamed and moved, invoices pulled out of PDFs, data pushed between a CRM, a spreadsheet and an internal tool. Built either as a plain Python service or with n8n / Make when the client wants to edit the flow later.

3. Telegram bots. Order and booking bots, notification bots, support bots with an admin panel, payment integration, and LLM-backed answers where the bot pulls from the client's own documents instead of inventing things.

4. Backend and API integrations. FastAPI or Django services on PostgreSQL, third-party API integrations (payment providers, CRMs, accounting systems, 1C/OData), plus authentication, logging and deployment on a Linux VPS or Docker.

5. Maintenance work. WordPress and PHP sites that break, slow queries, broken checkouts, plugin conflicts. I like reproducible production bugs — they have an answer.

How I work

Written, asynchronous communication. Clear scope before I start, a fixed price or an hourly rate agreed in advance, and progress you can actually see rather than a silent two weeks. If a requirement turns out to be a bad idea technically, I will say so and propose the alternative instead of building it quietly.
