The set-up of the General Insurance (GI) Programme is part of the overall Tesco Bank (TB) Migration programme. The programme is in response to the decision by The Royal Bank of Scotland to sell its 50% shareholding in TB to Tesco. As part of insurance , there are five insurance which Tesco Bank deals with , which are pet, travel, motor , home and Rescue.
--> Monitoring the scheduled jobs in autosys
-->Database Maintenance
-->Releasing Changes in PRODUCTION environment
--> Maintenence of front ends
--> APACHE / TOMCAT server checks and related works, etc

Key Deliverables:

 Working on the application GDH (Global Data Hub) on UNIX platform.
 Involved in project development phase.
 Integrated data from Flat files and other Databases to load into Oracle tables using Informatica.
 Identified and Fixed Bugs in existing production mappings after performing a detailed impact analysis.
 Analyze and interpret complex application code and make code fixes to resolve production issues.
 Carried regular troubleshooting through UNIX, modifying scripts, maintain the applications on Unix/Oracle.
 Customer notification and workflow co-ordination and follow-up to maintain (SLA’s)service level agreements.
 Function closely with engineering team for handing-off or taking over active production issues and to create a team specific knowledge base.
