HSE Manager with focus on hazardous substance

For one of our well-known Pharma Clients we are looking for a

HSE Manager

Tasks:

- Keeping your own register of hazardous substances and monitoring and implementing national and European legislation

- Assessing the composition of substances and preparing hazard assessments, risk assessments for new products, operating instructions and safety data sheets

- Coordination of external dangerous goods officers

- Project management of cross-departmental projects relating to hazardous substances, water protection, soil protection and hazardous goods

- Responding to external inquiries on issues relating to the environment and hazardous substances

- Partial processing the tasks of the waste officer, especially for hazardous waste Recording, investigating and evaluating the causes of environmental and chemical-related incidents and developing preventative measures

- Conducting and participating in internal and external environmental/EHS audits

- Implementation of corporate requirements

- Advising employees and management and providing training and instruction

- Developing strategies to improve operational environmental protection

- Maintaining the EHS management systems

Qualification:

- Successfully completed bachelor's degree (engineering) with a focus on environmental technology, occupational safety or chemistry, preferably also a comparable course of study

- Qualification as: Hazardous Substances Officer and/or Waste Officer and/or Environmental Protection Officer, or willingness to qualify in the near future - we will be happy to support you in this process

- Experience within a manufacturing company

- Sound experience in dealing with and applying legal requirements

- Ideally practical knowledge in the fields of hazardous substances, hazardous goods, water protection and/or environmental protection

- Willingness to undergo intensive training and further training in the legal principles and new software programs

- Good knowledge of MS Office

- Very good knowledge of German and good written and spoken English
