System & Process Specialist (m/f/d) - Clinical Supply chain / ERP / IRT and Middleware / SAP/ LEAN/OE /APICS or SCOR / English& German

Project:
For our customer a big pharmaceutical company in Basel we are looking for System & Process Specialist (m/f/d).

Background:
The Clinical Distribution organization's objective is to cost-effectively ensure the right product is in the right place at the right time every time, such that no patient will go without treatment and no clinical trial will be delayed. The System & Process Optimization Chapter ensures organizational readiness for the Clinical Distribution team and our North Star: All patients worldwide, within one day, CO2 neutral.

The System & Process Specialist (SPS) is a key member of the System & Process chapter, which is jointly accountable for all elements of clinical supply chain distribution for the global Roche/Genentech portfolio of ?500 studies. The Systems and Process chapter is responsible for having all systems ready and up and running at all times to ensure daily operations (more than 23 depots and affiliates + external partners and ?50mCHF / yearly) and to enable the business execution through optimized systems and business process capabilities. The SPS role executes the strategy and ensures all related systems for clinical distribution are running smoothies and without interruptions.

The SPS partners closely with BPm's and the broader distribution community (incl. the Network & Capabilities and Study Mgmt Chapter), IT, external logistics partners and the Roche affiliate network to enable the portfolio and pipeline delivery.

Key to success is a strong collaboration within the Clinical Supply (PTDS) Global Distribution Team, strategic external partners (e.g. DHL, World Courier), IT & Digital teams, the wider PTDS network, Clinical Operations customers and stakeholders, Quality, and Regulatory.

This role is part of a broader chapter which applies the role based working concept. The key responsibilities mentioned below are highlighting some areas of focus, the actual role based working setup may vary depending on several factors - including scope, breadth and impact of the role

The perfect candidate:
The perfect candidate will have SAP experience and strong collaboration and problem solving skills. He/she is courageous, inclusive, and a servant contributor with a people focus, who delivers on the PTDS strategy. It's important to have a strong understanding of E2E supply chain management and systems, with a key focus on warehouse, transportation management and logistics. For this role we are looking for a candidate who acts as a role model with an exemplary mindset of continuous improvement and global thinking. The perfect candidate needs to be able to act as an ARCHITECT and CATALYST in the distribution organization. Take smart risks by approaching work differently, and streamlining/ stopping non-value adding work.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
* Provide technical support and act as a support function to coordinate system, interface or transmission related issues in day-to-day distribution and logistics operations and provide training to the users
* Participate in global projects that aim to improve the overall supply-chain management functions and performance (project support, UAT, system monitoring and housekeeping)
* Provide support and advanced knowledge for specific and clinical distribution related projects
* Performs / manages / facilitates / coordinates different system testing, user acceptance and regression tests for new or changed functionalities in Roche systems and/or respective interfaces.
* Responsible for the "operationalization" of new projects (incl. documentation and training of teams)
* Drives for best practises, standardization and optimization of distribution processes across PTDS, with a focus on lead time, ensuring supply chain and inventory optimization for a scope of 500+ clinical studies and CHF 900 Mio in inventory
* Maintain compliant functionality (e.g. GxP and custom requirements properly reflected in the system configuration) and process standards between Roche system (e.g. SAP) and the warehouse or transport management system of external logistics service providers
* Supports the system & process chapter strategy in line with the overall distribution strategy, responsible for system and process strategy execution
* Manages interface monitoring and issue management (for both, internal & external partners)
* Responsible for daily operational business continuity (following ITSM standards)
* Identify and drive root cause analysis and process and performance improvements
* Acts as the main contact for IT partners and teams (e.g. second level support functions) and follow-up on corrective or preventive actions
* Manages overall access and role management
* Acts as robotics process automation owner
* Responsible for managing advance analytics and reporting capabilities
* Fosters a learning and collaboration culture within and across the chapters
* Acts as a coach and consultant for the distribution organization to support effective issue resolution and cascading of information to stakeholders, manages escalations

Must Haves:
* Min. Bachelor degree in a technical, business or supply chain field or associated relevant experience
* Strong experience in SAP, especially in the supply chain modules
* Min. 5-7+ years operational experience in (Clinical) Supply Chain / Distribution / Planning incl. experience in ERP IT system and/or ERP deployments
* Experience with IRT und Middleware (e.g. TIBCO)
* Min. Bachelor degree in a technical, business or supply chain field or associated relevant experience
* Excellent knowledge of clinical supply chain distribution processes, industry best practices, and applicable tools and systems to enable operational excellence
* Strong experience within a project environment with agile methodologies and LEAN/OE experience
* Strong experience in SAP, especially in the supply chain modules
* Excellent language skills in English is a MUST, German skills would be a plus
* Cross-functional / cross-cultural experience
* Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills, including ability to simplify what is complex and focus audience on key messages and experience in communicating with senior leadership representatives
* Proactive, motivated, solution oriented team player

Nie to Haves:
* APICS and/or SCOR certification, or associated relevant experience
* Operational Excellence/Six Sigma/Lean training
