TERMS

• The project is scheduled to start in June 2024 and will run for approximately 15+ months (with the option to extend).
• Contract type: fixed-term employment or freelance project.
• The position requires a commitment of 56 hours per week.


RESPONSIBILITIES

• The planning of work and development of schedules must take health, safety, and environmental protection aspects into consideration.
• The yard project controls team will be led in close collaboration with project management, the client, and the contractor.
• Reports will be made to project management and the client.
• Participation and leadership in daily and weekly meetings are required.
• The L3/L4-construction schedule will be aligned under consideration of Construction Driven Execution (CDE) and the overall-EPC schedule will be aligned.
• The L4-schedule development of the construction schedule will be supervised under consideration of Construction Driven Execution (CDE).
• The level 4 and level 5 planning of the contractor will be reviewed.
• The prioritizing and follow-up of the Construction Work Packages (CWP) and Installation Work Packages (IWP) will be carried out together with the yard engineering team.
• The planning, monitoring, and reporting of construction work and progress will be performed.
• The schedule will be reviewed with deviation analysis for early identification of project risks.
• The critical path will be defined and drawn up for the preparation of early warnings.
• Communication and cooperation with project management, the client, as well as technical departments and the contractor, will be ensured.
• Reports on project status and project prognosis will be prepared.
• The construction planning of the contractor and overall integration into the project schedule will be aligned.
• Verification of the actual construction progress at the site will be conducted through spot-checking.
• The schedule quality and risk analysis will be executed.
• Construction data will be analyzed to determine material, tools, and human resource requirements for the schedule.
• Disciplines that delay schedules will be expedited and schedules will be altered to meet unforeseen conditions.
• A strategy for achieving objectives with available resources will be formulated.


REQUIREMENTS

• A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required.
• Several years of experience in construction project planning and controls are necessary.
• Proficiency with scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent is expected.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities are required.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are needed.
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in construction project management is important.
